Paper of Postgraduate Student from School of Literature and Communication Won Award in International Forum

Recently, a paper entitled Concept and Practice of Calligraphy Copybook in Yang Shoujing's Prefaces and Postscripts by Hu Tao (Instructor: Chen Zhao), a postgraduate student of calligraphy major from Class of 2017,  School of Literature and Communication, won the Excellent Paper Award (the highest award) in the Chinese Characters and Calligraphy Forum.

Chinese Characters and Calligraphy Forum is sponsored by the National  Museum of Chinese Writing and the Advanced Calligraphy Education Branch of the (National) Education Calligraphy and Painting Association. As an international high-level academic activity, it has set up a good exchange platform of high standards for calligraphy researchers, and has introduced many outstanding international calligraphy researchers to the public.

At present, the calligraphy major of QNU is the only in the undergraduate education in Fujian province. Teachers and students have won more than 50 awards in professional exhibitions and competitions, including Exhibitions of China Calligraphy Lanting Awards, National Calligraphy and Seal Carving Exhibition, National Calligraphy and Seal Carving Exhibition of Young and Middle-aged Artists, National Youth Calligraphy and Seal Carving Exhibition, National Calligraphy Exhibition of College Students. They have also won 300-plus provincial awards and published hundreds of artistic works, making remarkable achievements in talent training.
