On June 20, QNU held a grand graduation and degree awarding ceremony for 2023 graduates. Among those leaders were Ke Ruiqing, Party Secretary of QNU, Qu Guangqing, President of QNU, Lin Wei and Chen Xiaofeng, Deputy Party Secretaries of QNU, Huang Jiangkun and Xiahou Jianbing, Vice Presidents of QNU, and Chen Mingsen, Secretary of QNU Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision Commissioner. The ceremony was presided by Xiahou Jianbing.
Before the awarding ceremony, the choir from the School of Music and Dance, together with representatives of the guidance counselors and students, brought brilliant warm-up performances, including familiar songs such as Story of Time, Deskmate, which ignited the atmosphere on site. The graduation MV Youth - Sailing elaborately crafted by the school extended the best wishes to all the 2023 graduates.
Qu Guangqing delivered a graduation speech themed Grow toward the Sun and Go for the Light.
Also among the speakers were undergraduate representative Huang Yinan of the 2019 Textile Engineering of the school of Textiles and Apparel, postgraduate representative Bian Jianbin of the 2020 Artistic Design of the School of Fine Arts and Design, faculty representative Prof. Xu Yueyun, an expert with the special allowance of the State Council and dean of the School of Physical Education, and alumni representative Wei Jing, an outstanding individual in China's poverty alleviation campaign.
Ke Ruiqing presented a commemorative plaque to the alumni representative Wei Jing, Huang Jiangkun read out the Notice on Commending Outstanding Graduates of 2023 and the Decision on Awarding Degrees to Graduates of 2023, and the school leaders and guests awarded honorary certificates to outstanding graduate representatives.
The graduates presented flowers to faculty representatives such as teachers, counselors, dormitory supervisors, security guards, and canteen workers, thanking all faculty members for their hard work.
The graduation ceremony came to an end in the chorus of Ode to the Motherland. Then, the degree awarding ceremony was held, and all school leaders and secondary college deans turned the tassels one by one for the graduates who obtained master's and bachelor's degrees.
