On May 26, Ke Ruiqing, Party Secretary of QNU, and Qu Guangqing, President of QNU, visited and discussed with Zhang Yigong, Party Secretary of CPC Quanzhou Municipal Committee and Cai Zhansheng, Mayor of Quanzhou Municipal People’s Government.
Ke Ruiqing and Qu Guangqing introduced QNU’s main achievements and its role in serving the economic and social development of Quanzhou, and sincerely thanked all Quanzhou people at home and abroad for their great support to the development of the university. He said the university would continue staying firmly rooted in and well serving Quanzhou, continue to seek support through service and development through contribution, speed up promoting the educational level and educational quality, strive to build a distinctive first-class applied university, and better serve the construction of new Fujian and Quanzhou --- a famous city on the Maritime Silk Road in the 21st century. He also looked forward to the support for the development of QNU from the municipal government, as always.
Zhang Yigong and Cai Zhansheng expressed thanks to QNU for its contribution to the city’s high-quality development and hoped QNU would continue to stay locally rooted and serve the city development, strengthen the bond with the government. They also said that Quanzhou would continue to support the development of the university.
