On September 4, the awards ceremony and works exhibition of the 12th International Footwear Design Competition (IFDC) were held at the China Import and Export Fair Complex (Canton Fair Complex). Two postgraduate students from the class 2024 majoring in fashion art design from the School of Textiles and Apparel of QNU participated in the competition of children's footwear design, and their work won the only golden medal in this category (team members: Guo Zezhong, Lv Yufan & instructor: Huang Shaoqing, etc.).
The competition attracted designers from the major shoe and leather manufacturing regions such as China, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Through fierce competition, the Chinese team won a total of 7 awards including golden, silver and bronze medals, among which students from QNU, with their unique creativity and humanized design, were awarded the golden medal in the individual group for children's footwear.
